SUPPORT THE CENTRE

Enfants en Équi-Libre's equestrian centre is located in St-Lazare, just 20 minutes from the West Island of Montréal

How You Can Help

Thank you for considering a donation to Équi-Libre Therapeutic Riding Centre! As a non-profit, we rely on the generosity of the community to keep our unique equine-assisted programs running and to support our herd of therapy horses.

With the help of generous individuals, organizations and businesses, we are able to make a remarkable difference in the lives of those with special needs. A donation to our centre will ensure that we have the resources to continue, grow and give back to our community and will have a direct and positive impact on the lives of children and adults with disabilities.

If you are interested in finding out more about donating, please contact Devon O’Farrell, Executive Director by email dofarrell@eltrc.org or by phone 438-403-3341.

Please note that we are currently awaiting our charitable organization status from the Canada Revenue Agency at which point we will be able to provide tax deductible donation receipts.

Featured Campaigns

Help The Herd Campaign

Since the suspension of our activities March 13th 2020 due to Covid-19, our horses have noticed an abrupt shift in their routine and are no doubt missing their riders. The revenue we rely on from lessons and therapy sessions has completely stopped, however our expenses have remained unchanged.

During this crisis the needs of our herd are great, and we need your help. A donation to our Help the Herd campaign will help us buy hay, grain, supplements, cover farrier fees and veterinary costs. A donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated and help ensure that our Centre can continue to offer these important services to our community in the future. Heartfelt Horseshoes Campaign

A donation to our Heartfelt Horseshoes campaign will help support the equine assisted programs and services that over 150 riders benefit from each year. Funds raised in this campaign will go towards specialized equipment for our horses, riding games and material, certified riding helmets, maintenance on our farm equipment, and much more.

Your gift of 100$, 500$, 1,000$ or 1,500$ will be recognized with a personalized horseshoe proudly displayed on our outdoor riding ring for an entire year.

One-Time & Monthly Giving

A one-time donation is a great way to make a difference. Whether you have a specific cause you would like to support, or you just want to give the gift of supporting the centre, anytime is a good time to give! Make a donation today

Sponsor a Therapy Horse

A lot goes into caring for the special horses that make up the Équi-Libre herd. By sponsoring a therapy horse you will be ensuring that all nutritional needs are covered including quality hay, grain, health supplements and treats. Hoof health maintained every 6-8 weeks by one of our farriers, and veterinary costs for annual vaccinations and check-ups.

Give the gift of a half-sponsorship for 2,500$ or a full sponsorship for 5,000$ and you or your business will be recognized on a plaque at the entry to the stable as well as on our website. Sponsor a Therapy Horse

Sponsor a Paddock

Did you know that almost all of our therapy horses live outside in paddocks all year round? Horses are social animals and love to live in groups and get lots of fresh air. Rain or shine, our special horses prefer to be outside with their friends than stuck in a stall.

By sponsoring one of our paddocks for 500$ you will be helping us keep those paddocks clean and in good repair for the comfort and safety of our herd. Your name or business will also be recognized on a plaque on the paddock fence as well as on our website. Sponsor a Paddock

Feed a Therapy Horse

Horses are large animals with big appetites. Even the smallest member of our herd weighs 400lbs! To stay healthy and in good weight, each therapy horse gets four meals of quality hay per day, two meals of grain which includes their vitamins, minerals and any other supplements they may need, and an apple or carrot here and there as a treat.

Feeding a pony for one month costs 150$, and this price goes up to 300$ for our bigger therapy horses. Your support will help ensure that our herd continues to receive a quality diet so they can feel their best. Feed a Therapy Horse
