ABOUT
ÉQUI-LIBRE

Équi-Libre Therapeutic Riding Centre began its journey in 2016 when founding partners Devon O'Farrell and Joannie Chiasson began offering services in St-Lazare. Then called Enfants en Équi-Libre, they started out with only two horses and rented out arena time at a local stable.

The Centre has since grown to include a herd of 10 therapy horses, a large team of instructors, therapists, stable staff and dedicated volunteers providing services to over 80 riders and clients each week in a wheelchair-friendly facility.

In 2021, the Centre became a registered not-for-profit organization. This change in status has allowed the Centre to partner with other organizations and ensure our programs and services are accessible to as many individuals as possible.

As a member of the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA) we hope to serve our community for many years to come!

Success! Your message has been sent

We were visited by the lovely Catherine Verdon-Diamond to talk about the programs we offer at our equestrian centre, specifically equine assisted occupational therapy (hippotherapy). A big thanks to the kids from the Mackay Centre who allowed us to film during their riding session!
