OUR
MISSION
Équi-Libre Therapeutic Riding Centre offers equine assisted therapy, recreation, sport, and learning programs to individuals with disabilities in Québec's Montérégie area with the purpose of contributing positively to their cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being.
Located in St-Lazare, our goal is to provide adapted groundwork and mounted equestrian activities tailored to the needs of each individual in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

ABOUT
ENFANTS EN
ÉQUI-LIBRE
Équi-Libre Therapeutic Riding Centre began it's journey in 2016 when founding partners Devon O'Farrell and Joannie Chiasson began offering services in St-Lazare. Then called Enfants en Équi-Libre, they started out with only two horses and renting out arena time at a local stable. The Centre has since grown to include a herd of 10 therapy horses, a large team of instructors, therapists, stable staff and dedicated volunteers servicing over 80 riders and clients each week.
In 2021 the Centre became a registered not-for-profit organization. This change in status has allowed the Centre to focus more effort on fundraising in order to make our programs and services accessible to as many individuals as possible.
As a member of the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA) we hope to serve our community for many years to come!
